Editor Scott David Brennan spent more than a decade as a working journalist and news editor before building a regional media operation. He started in Santa Cruz County, Calif., worked his way up through News Media Corp as a reporter, editor, and publisher, and in 2006 founded Access Publishing — a multi-publication media and digital marketing company that grew to serve hundreds of clients across San Luis Obispo County, Calif.

For nearly 20 years, he ran a newsroom while simultaneously helping local businesses understand what it actually takes to show up online.
